Weltempfaenger Backpacker Hostel - Cologne

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in Cologne. The location was convenient, right next to a U-bahn station, making it easy to explore the city. The staff was very friendly and gave me great advice on what to see and do. I also loved the fact that there was a nice pub with reasonable prices nearby, and a delicious Asian restaurant next door. The hostel itself had a stylish old swimming pool spa just 500 meters away, a unique and enjoyable experience. I also appreciated the fact that there were cheap and able hairdressers nearby, as I was able to get a quick haircut. The atmosphere at the hostel was very cute, with friendly people who were easy to meet and chat with. I had a good conversation with a German girl from Freiburg, speaking French, a pleasant surprise.

This hotel is a great value for money, with reasonable prices for a stay in a hipster-like neighborhood. The location is fantastic, right in front of the Subway station, making it convenient to explore the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, just like in the pictures, and having a private bathroom is a plus. Additionally, the breakfast included is a nice touch and adds to the overall positive experience.

There was one small aspect that could be improved, but it was not a major issue.

Conveniently located in a quiet area, close to the subway station and city center. Vintage cafe/bar adds charm and features live music. Budget-friendly for students with clean rooms and facilities. Friendly staff and a nice common room for meal preparation and socializing. Drinks available at discounted prices at the pub below.

This hotel is located in a great area, just outside the city centre, in a nice hipster-like neighborhood. The convenience of having a metro stop right next to the hotel made exploring the city incredibly easy. The basic amenities were well-maintained, with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, just like in the pictures. The decently equipped kitchen was a bonus, allowing guests to prepare their own meals if they wished. Additionally, having breakfast included and served each morning was a nice touch.

All was well, no issues to be found.

The cafe attached to the hotel was a great spot to hang out during the day. They had a good menu with reasonable prices, and the staff was friendly. The hotel was situated in a multicultural, artsy neighborhood which offered a unique vibe compared to other areas in the city. the room we stayed in was spacious and had all the necessary amenities.

The check-in process was inconvenient as we arrived late at night and could not access the hotel. We were not informed beforehand that check-in was limited to certain hours.

We loved the location of this hotel - it was directly across the street from the metro station , made it easy to explore the city. The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff was friendly. We appreciated the fact that there were grocery stores nearby, and lots of cute little shops as well.

For the price we paid, the value was great and the room was very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to shops and public transport. The staff at Weltempfanger were incredibly helpful and the bar area was a great place to relax.

Food for breakfast could have been better.

The location close to the metro station was really convenient for reaching the city center. It was great that the hostel was right next to the U-Bahn station, making it easy to travel around. Also, the area had a nice residential feel, providing a more authentic experience.

There were not enough bathroom facilities on the floor, which was frustrating.

Great location, close to public transportation and shops. Clean rooms and bathrooms. the breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of foods to choose from.

My Easter experience was ruined by the noise level. the walls were thin and I could hear everything from other rooms and the hallway.
